Choosing your learning Pathway
With 30 different possible pathways to choose from, CLPD Year 3 can be completely tailored to your preferences and interests. The mandatory requirements for CLPD Year 3 are three (3) subjects from the substantive topics and any one (1) subject from the Ethical topics.
If you have completed a course in Year 1 or 2, you will not be given CLPD points for repeating the same course.
You must choose one of the following:
- Client Care & Conflict of Interest
- Know your Client
- Legal Consultant Accounts
You must choose a minimum of three of the following:
- E-Laws for Legal Practice
- Hot Topics in the UAE Trade Legislation (Competition and Agency Laws)
- Contract Law Focus Session
- Intellectual Property and Trademark Practice
- An Introduction to Public Private Partnership in Dubai
- Contract Termination
- Jurisdiction & Enforcement
- Corporate Liability
- Real Estate
- A Commercial Companies Law Focus Session
Please note if you undertake more than the minimum amount in either the Ethical or Substantive topics, the points will count towards your accredited requirement.
Workshop sessions are designed to encourage discussion and debate amongst attendees. Unlike traditional instructor lead learning, the focus will be on working in small groups to solve practical case studies. The instructor will facilitate discussion amongst the group and discuss learning outcomes.
In each of the Workshops, attendees will be split into small groups and asked to work together to work on a case studies.
Time will be given to discuss the case studies amongst the wider attendees.
You are advised to complete the online learning ahead session, as you will be expected to know and fully understand the topics and relevant laws that will be discussed in each case Workshop session.
